so this isn’t about tupac but he did have that song “changes.” anyways i was listening to the Barrel Men album by Native Guns, filipino activist rappers local to the west coast ( they’re pretty dope but i think the group broke up a while ago) because i’ve been driving a different car other than my own because it has radiator problems…if you’ve read my posts before and there’s no aux cable so i can only play cds. Any ways, the first song “initiation” its about getting jumped in, almost as if getting jumped into a gang, but it was really about getting jumped into making a change, the whole album is about making changes, its pretty dope opens your eyes. listening to the song there was this one lyric that kiwi said that caught my ear “you ain’t gotta break a dollar to make change.” ohh the symbolism. they say money makes the world go ‘round, or so they say…maybe they’re insisting that in order to make something happen you have to have money…even more so, in order to cause a change, money is required. of course if you get paid to do something, you’re gonna do it, a job is a job, but there are somethings that don’t require financial retribution. whatever happened to “a friend in need is a friend indeed?” or in other cases, volunteer work, as i know some kids i know do volunteer at local hospitals, churches, boy/girl scouts. knowing these kids, theyre have great personalities, maybe thats why theyre soo cool, its because they get that “something” out of knowing they helped someone out, giving time to make something better, making a change….sometimes life needs change….
and now im just rambling about nonsense….
